Completed in Cantù in 2023, this villa utilizes an advanced timber prefabrication system. The overarching architectural language emerges from the juxtaposition of sharp, geometric volumes, creating a composition that offers a diverse range of spatial perceptions depending on the observer's vantage point. The street-facing elevation is defined by the striking triangular apex of a mono-pitch roof, which is further articulated by the recessed volume of the garage. In contrast, the internal elevations overlooking the garden exhibit a softer formal language, eventually merging into the sheltered portico that frames the expansive glazing of the living area.
The interior volumes are equally dynamic, defined by a soaring double-height living area and a meticulous curation of materials, color palettes, and bespoke finishes.

The core of the design is defined by a sophisticated balance: merging bold architectural innovation with a refined compositional harmony that flows seamlessly from the façade to the living spaces.The volumetric dynamism, accentuated by the juxtaposition of diverse materials, imbues the architecture with a decisive character, while maintaining the understated elegance and sophisticated composure requested by the client. The composition is articulated through three primary components:

. the double-height, mono-pitch volume, which houses the sleeping quarters on the ground floor and the upper-level rooms characterized by exposed structural roofing;

. the lateral volume, housing the garage and technical plant room, topped by an expansive rooftop solarium;

. the dual-pitched volume, housing the expansive open-plan kitchen and living area—the latter featuring a dramatic double-height void, an integrated glass staircase, and an overlooking mezzanine gallery.

A vertical blade separates the first and second volumes, featuring a full-height textural finish that emulates natural stone. The color palette reflects a contemporary aesthetic, meticulously calibrated to ensure a timeless elegance.

The interiors mirror the dynamism of the external envelope. The vertical volume of the living area, featuring an overlooking mezzanine, serves as the project’s focal point, enhancing a sense of spatial airiness where natural light floods in from both upper and lower apertures. The structural wall supporting the staircase is articulated by bespoke details, such as a recessed linear light slot and a custom geometric wall mural. Every furniture piece and lighting fixture has been meticulously curated to ensure total coherence with the design language shared and refined with the client.

In line with our studio's signature approach, every additional detail—from color palettes and surface claddings to bespoke bathroom fixtures—has been meticulously conceived for each individual space within the home, ensuring a cohesive and tailor-made living environment.
